When the weather starts to cool and we start to shop for glue, pencils and the 15 pocket folders my 3rd grader needs, we know it is back to school season.
I adore back to school season. And probably not why you think.
For the first, 28 years of my life I lived on the school calendar. From elementary, to high school, college and than as a teacher for 8 years. There is just something about August and September that makes my heart race and butterflies in my stomach.
Now with my 3 little people, I enjoy this season even more because I get to create simple sewing projects for back to school.
I'm still on that "school calendar" but it is different with my own kids. I get to see things through their eyes.
I get to create simple sewing projects that they LOVE and take with them to school to be successful or feel more comfortable.
Plus, with my toddler going into preschool this year, I get 2 whole hours to create on my own. GLORIOUS!!
