I love these lines from the famous Night Before Christmas poem. There is something sweet and special about hanging up your stocking in hopes that it will be filled by morning.
If you know my mother, you know she isn't really crafty. She just doesn't enjoy crafting.
However, she did make a handful of projects and one was our handmade Christmas stockings.
In fact, those childhood stockings still hang on my parents mantel. They bring back many fond memories of Christmas' past.
There's something special about Christmas decorations that are hung each year. They stand as a reminder. A fond memory. Sometimes our only connection back to people that have gone on.
