I've had my Cricut Maker for over a year now. It has been such a great tool in my sewing room.
I really do use it at least once a week for various projects like making custom t-shirts, cutting out felt and make fun vinyl signs or decor.
But where I've really used my Cricut Maker the most is in cutting out fabric for Cricut sewing patterns.
This post contains affiliate links to products I recommend. I do make a portion off any you may purchase. See full disclosure here.
The Cricut Maker makes cutting out fabric so easy and fast. Let's face it. Most sewist really don't like to cut out patterns. It is time consuming and just not fun.
Most times when I'm starting a new Cricut sewing patterns I've started drafting it in Cricut Design Space.
If you don't draft your own patterns, Cricut also has a TON of sewing projects available including toys, kids clothes and doll patterns. You have so many options.
We also have 3 FREE Cricut Sewing patterns just for you!! Click here to sign up for our newsletter and get the patterns.
Today I wanted to put together a fun round-up of simple and fun Cricut sewing patterns. Many are free and ready for uploading to Design Space.
The Cricut Maker comes with the new Cricut Rotary Blade. This blade makes cutting fabric smooth and super accurate. You can learn all about the Cricut Rotary Blade in our post.
Also, don't worry if you don't have a Cricut Maker. If you have a fabric blade, you should still be able to cut fabric out on your Cricut Explore Air as well.
Finally, is you love to sew I want you to know about the game changer for ironing. Check out the EasyPress Mini. I use it all the time now while sewing.
It is small, nice and hot and a time saver. I don't have to get up and iron small projects now. Instead, I can sit and work and get the job done.
