Even if it doesn't, winter weather means cold ears in my household. I can't help with the cold hands but first let's get those ears warmed up with the new ear warmer headband pattern.
This post contains affiliate links to products I recommend. I do make a portion off any you may purchase. See full disclosure here.
The best part about this project is it takes a small amount of fabric and with just a few stitches you've got yourself a super cute and trendy ear warmer. What more could you ask for? (Other than a warm heart.)
And you can pair that awesome headband with our free kids mitten pattern and we've got you covered for the entire winter. See, I really do love our readers. (What were we saying about warm hearts?)

Materials Needed

- 1/4 yard polar or blizzard fleece
- Thread
Step 1
With RST, place the band main piece with the band lining piece. Stitch across the two long edges of the band.
Step 2
Turn the band right side out and finger press (or move your fingers along the seams of the band to make sure they stay in place.)
Step 3
Turn the raw edge of one of the short open into the band ¼”. Finger press.
Step 4
Place the opposite side of the band into the opening. Stitch the opening shut.
Step 5
Topstitch around the top and bottom of the band.
Step 6
Cut a 3" x 9" piece of fleece for the bow.
Take the bow piece and fold it in half with RST, matching the short sides. Stitch short sides together.
Turn bow right side out.
Step 8
Pleat the bow in the center. Take the bow tie and tie a knot in the middle of the bow. Cut hanging ties.
Stitch bow to cap or ear warmers.
There you have it. A super easy ear warmer headband pattern ready for all your winter sewing for kids to adults.
And since you'll have the warmest ears around, you can share the love and make a bunch for family and friends, you'll have a nice warm heart too.
