Simple Fabric Easter Egg Tutorial + Free Pattern

About 5 years ago moved to the country.  We bought 10 acres and started raising chickens.

Our children love being outside, hanging out with the dogs and collecting the chicken eggs.

It has been a big learning experience for all of us, especially the chicken raising part.  My kids love to grab the basket, put on their boots and head down to the chickens for egg collecting.

This can be a bit tricky since we have 30 chickens and some occasionally mean roosters.

My youngest loves the chickens but doesn't always understand why grabbing the eggs and dropping them on the ground is a bad idea.

Instead, I decided a simple fabric egg pattern would help him get the fun of collecting the eggs without us loosing out on some prime breakfast burritos.

This year I added a larger size egg just for the fun of it and the kids love that they can through it around for Easter games.

You could even make a bunch of eggs and put them in a handmade fabric basket.

That being said, with this Easter egg sewing pattern you'll be able to create your own, reusable Easter eggs for years to come.  Without the extra yolk or smell.
