DIY Rice Heating Pad
- 100% cotton fabric - 6" x 20"
- 100% cotton thread
- 3-4 C. uncooked rice
Fold fabric in half with right sides together, matching the short sides. Pin in place. Mark a 2-3" opening in the center of the short side.
Step 2
Stitch around the long sides of the heating pad and toward the short end. Leaving the 2-3" opening unsewn. Press. Clip the corners.
Turn heating pad right side out. Push out the corners to make them point.
Using a funnel, fill the heating pad with rice. You'll want between 3-4 cups of rice.
Step 5
Stitch the opening of the heating pad closed by stitching across the entire short side.
Place the heating pad in the microwave in 3 minute intervals in the microwave. Or add it to the freezer for use with inflamed injuries.
