Spring is in the air. The trees are blossoming and flowers are blooming. Which means it is time to get sewing some spring projects.
If you are looking for a fun and fast spring project, you'll really like this free bunny applique pattern and cute carrot bunting. There is very little sewing involved. In fact, all of the sewing is hand sewing.

This is also a great stash buster project. Just rummage through your fabric stash and find some fun spring colors to make your bunting.
The best part of this project is you can do the entire project sitting in front of the TV watching your favorite show. No need to pull out the sewing machine. Just a needle and thread.
Free Carrot Bunting and Bunny Applique Pattern
Materials Needed
- 4-5 cotton woven fabric
- Green Felt
- Heat n Bond
- Embroidery Thread
- Embroidery needle
Step 1
Print pattern and cut out pieces. Pick fabric colors.
Press pieces of Heat n' Bond to the wrong side of the fabric pieces. Trace pattern to the back of the Heat n' Bond. Cut out fabric pieces.
Cut out carrot pieces from the fabric. Sandwich the green carrot top in between the two carrot pieces. Press together.
Thread embroidery floss onto an embroidery needle.
Use a blanket stitch to stitch around the carrot raw edges.
Press Heat n' Bond to the wrong side of the triangle bunting pieces.
Place two triangle buntings together and press. Trim the ends with pinking shears.
Step 7
Cut out bunny in fabric pieces and Heat n' Bond. Press to the center of each bunting piece. Punch holes in the ends of each of the bunting pieces and carrots or tie them to a piece of twine.
There it is. A simple spring bunting project with very little sewing. Makes some great spring decor.
