Summer is coming which means so are all the patriotic holidays in the US. When we lived in our other home our few patriotic decorations worked fine, but in our new house.
Nope. They don't work.
Our space is larger, much more open and has TONS of shelving. Plus, I've got a fun porch that is always in need of some "sprucing up". Perhaps you have run into this problem as well.

I really wanted to start with my porch and create an envelope pillow cover that was festive.
I've seen a ton of really cute designs lately using the outline of your home state or country with hearts to show how much you love where you live. And of course, we all tend to love where we live or else we probably wouldn't live there.
So combining the 2 ideas came the "land that I love" pillow.
I decided to use my Cricut Maker to cut out my U.S. pattern because it is pretty intricate and I knew my scissors wouldn't do as well.
It took a bit longer, but I'm really glad I used it because it turned out really nice. It will be perfect for the spring and all through the summer. And if it gets dirty, I can just throw it in the wash and put it back on my pillow.

Step 4
Pick your favorite fonts to write "Land That I Love". Cut out words on HTV vinyl. You'll also need to cut out the heart design
Step 5
Place words, map and heart on in the center of your pillow cover. You might need to play with the placement a little bit to get the look you want.
Remove the paper from the back of the map. Place map on the pillow fabric and press using an iron or your Cricut Easy Press.
Step 7
Press your words around your map. Then press your heart in the center of your map.
