A few weeks ago I found this great wooden heart decoration.  It's solid wood and wasn't painted except for the sides.  I thought it was the perfect craft for using a vinyl stencil.
What's a vinyl stencil?  Well, it is pretty simple.  It is just like a regular stencil, however, it is sticky.  So it will stick to the surface of whatever you're going to paint or decorate.  Since this wooden heart was reversible, I wanted to do 2 different stencils.

Materials Needed
Silhouette Cutting Machine (or any cutting machine)
Vinyl - you can use scraps, I get my vinyl from our affiliate Expressions Vinyl
Arylic Paints - I have these from our affiliate Amazon
Wooden heart - I got mine at Target in the Dollar Spot
First, cut out yours vinyl stencil using your cutting machine.  I did 2 different stencils.  One was like a tradition stencil with the words cut out of the middle.  The other, I used just the words and stuck them straight to the board and then painted over them
We put together a fun video demonstrating how we did both types of stencil.  I don't know about you, but I love watching short tutorial videos.  It is so satisfying.  So I hope you enjoy too.
Personally, I think both sides turned out really cute.  The best part, is this heart is reversible.  So when I get tired of one side I can turn it around and display the other side.
