Homemade Ladybugs and Penguin Valentine's

Homemade Ladybugs and Penguin Valentine's Tutorial by GYCT

Valentine's Day is closing in.  Isn't that crazy!  Can't believe how fast time is flying.  I wanted to share with you our Valentine's from last year.  This was actually one of my favorite projects that we have done so far.  Plus, it is perfect for little people who love to glue and tape.

Materials Needed
Black, Red, White and Pink Construction Paper
Googly Eyes
Glue

For the Ladybugs
You'll want to cut out 1 large red heart and 2 medium sized black hearts for each bug.  Then cut out 4-5 small black hearts for each bug.  Glue one black heart down on the red heart for the head and one underneath the backside.  Then add the little hearts.  Make sure to add eyes and little strips for the antennas.

Aren't they just so cute!  These are great for sending to school with your little ones.  They aren't as good in envelopes because the antennas will get smashed.  But they are perfect to hand out to friends and family.

For the Penguins
Cut out 1 large oval for the body, 1 large white heart and 3 pink small hearts.  Glue the white heart to the oval and then add the small hearts for feet and nose.  Don't forget to add the eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this little craft.  It is a great project that your little ones will love.  So simple but a great afternoon project.
