Evelyn Bag for Pattern Parcel #7

Meet Evelyn.  Isn't she beautiful?!  This great bag pattern is designed by Chris W. Designs and is part of the new Pattern Parcel #7.

Now I will admit, I wasn't really wanting to make a bag.  I know, I signed up.   I was super excited the  and then I got in a rut.  But once I started cutting out the pattern for this bag, I was getting excited.  It was a lot easier than I thought.

There were so many bags to choose from in this bundle and I really had a hard time choosing.  I decided on the Evelyn Bag because it was a little smaller then some of the others and I really wanted to use this black and white damask fabric.  In the end, I was really happy about my choice.

Plus, there are some really cool details.  For instance, these gathered side pockets.  Perfect for sunglasses or cell phones.  Super easy access.  And they really look nice with the color blocking.

Or this awesome exterior zipper pouch!  I love me some zipper pouches.  This one is nice a large and can fit quite a bit in it.  Plus, it is on the outside so you can put items you grab most often in it.

The interior of the bag has a lot of pockets and a zipper pocket as well.  There is also a key fob on the front of the bag and the bag has a magnetic closure.  Which is the first time I have ever done a magnetic closure.  Honestly, one of the easiest things I have ever done.  Pretty sure I should add them to all my bags now.

Overall, I love this pattern.  Just make sure you take your time and cut out all your pieces and label them.  The pattern even includes little printable labels to pin to your pieces.  Totally used those!  So helpful, especially when you are cutting lots of rectangular pieces.

Even thought Parcel isn't available anymore, the Evelyn Bag is still available on Etsy.

P.S.  Yes, that is snow in my front yard in November.  We got about 7" in a 24 hour period.  It is SO cold.

Happy Sewing!!
